Symptoms
Since you used the Macroscope Support Material, there is a new popup window that keeps appearing at each page of the Macroscope Web Site. The problem persists even if I close and restart the Macroscope.
Cause
This problem occurs when you start the support material application while a popup blocker application is active. The
"popup blocker" application stopped the Macroscope script to write the closing parameter within the cookie.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, you will have to delete the cookies and add the Macroscope site to your "popup blocker" application's whitelist. To do so, follow this short procedure:
- Start Macroscope.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 7
- In the Tools menu, select Internet Options.
- Under the General tab, click on the Delete button of the History section.
- Click the Delete Cookies button.
- Click Yes to confirm.
- Click Close.
- Click OK.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6
- In the Tools menu, select Internet Options.
- Under the General tab, click on the Delete Cookies button of the Temporary Internet Files section.
- Click OK to confirm.
- Click OK to close the Internet Options window.
Mozilla Firefox
- In the Tools menu, select Options.
- Click on the Privacy button.
- In the Cookies section, click on Show Cookies.
- In the Search field, type the word macroscope and wait for the window to display all the Macroscope cookies.
- Click on Remove Cookie for each Macroscope cookie and then click Close button.
- Click OK to close the Options window.
Google Toolbar
- While Macroscope is being displayed, click the Popup Blocker button to add Macroscope to your whitelist.

Other blocker
Please consult your specific popup blocker documentation to add the Macroscope Web site to the whitelist.
Now that your cookies have been deleted and that the Macroscope site is in the whitelist, you should be able to consult the Support Material with no problems.
